"I met Britney on Friday August 21st and it was such a rush!
First I’ll start off by explaining that I’ve seen Britney MANY times including twice last August in Vegas. This time i had bought tickets for my husband and I when he decided to trade his ticket in and get me the meet and greet. When i first called Planet Hollywood they told me it wasn’t possible to switch my seats and were super rude. Then my husband sent them an email and the supervisor got back to us right away and basically told me I could pick any available seat and she would adjust the price of the meet and greet accordingly, plus let us trade in my husbands ticket. (He’s not really a Britney fan and has been to many of her shows with me already lol).
On the day of the show we went to planet hollywood and got my wristband and ticket and were told to meet back at 6:30pm. At 6:30 security comes and checks your wrist and asks you for your name. We are then escorted to Fe at the front entrance. At that point I said bye to my husband and as he was walking away security called him back and asked why he was leaving. He said that he had only gotten me the meet and greet and not the both of us. Security was super nice and said “so what? its not a large group today, you can just go with her for the backstage tour.” Unfortunately though when he told them he didn’t actually have any ticket for the show they said they couldn’t let him in. But if he had a seat for the show they said they would’ve been accommodating and let him see the tour for free!
Anyways, the tour was awesome. Fe is the nicest most genuine person I have ever met. She is amazing!! She takes you up on the stage and tells us so many fun facts about the show and Britney. When we headed from the stage up to the wardrobe room you go through a door and up a narrow set of stairs. I was the first person directly behind Fe and at the top of the stairs there was a door and it was open and all you could smell was vanilla. Fe immediately noticed the opened door and freaked out. She screamed “Glenn the door is open!!”, then said “I’m just going to shut this.” Before she shut it I took a peak and the room was huge and there was a large wardrobe of outfits (Britney’s!!!). Then we continued up another flight of stairs to the wardrobe room. Later on in the tour Fe confirmed that was indeed Britney’s dressing room with the door open and that it is always usually shut.
We took a 20 min break and met back up for the meet and greet at 8pm. At this point more people joined us. Some people were escorted over by Planet Hollywood execs (pays to know someone high up ;)). While were waiting the main security guy was talking with everyone and having conversations with a few of the people who had been escorted over. I was eavesdropping and i heard him say how when they first started doing meet and greets Britney hated it because she is incredibly shy and people would ask for signatures and ask her a million questions ect.. So now they’ve worked out the kinks so she is much more comfortable. He also said that they used to do the meet and greets earlier but that then Britney would be dressed and ready for the show way too early and would want to start the show early and they would have to explain to her that they couldn’t just start early. So then she would get impatient waiting to start. So now they do the meet and greets literally right before showtime. As we were waiting we were taken out to a back parking lot (this is how Britney comes and goes unnoticed), then we went inside through a back door. As we were going in i heard skateboards and i looked over to the side alleyway and saw her two sons skateboarding!!
When it was my turn to meet her i all of a sudden got SO NERVOUS. I said “Hi Im Michelle” and shook her hand. She said “nice to meet you” then turned towards the camera. I couldn’t believe i was standing with Britney and was so happy i don’t even remember seeing the camera haha. The pictures are taken on the stage with the bright stage lights beaming on you and Britney. After the picture I told her how I was such a huge fan since BOMT and that my four year old son loves seeing pictures and videos she posts of her sons and how he thinks they’re the coolest. She said “aww thats so cute, thank you. They’re actually out back right now skateboarding”. Of course I already knew that but was so nervous all i could say was “oh really?! Cool” LOL. Then Larry said “thanks for coming” and I took that as my cue to leave and said thanks so much to Britney.
I am so glad I finally got to meet her even if it was short and sweet. I just couldn’t believe she was actually talking to me haha. If I had the opportunity I would for sure do it again :)
Michelle"
